Privacy at Dakeus

Updated 23 September 2026. This notice describes the current Dakeus website checkup and account features.

Website checkups

We fetch the public website address you submit and inspect its pages. Scan results may be cached for 15 minutes. Please do not submit private links or addresses containing passwords or access tokens.

Accounts and Google sign-in

Password accounts store your email address and a salted password hash. Google sign-in stores your email and a stable Google account identifier; we check Google's signed identity response to authenticate you. We do not request access to Gmail, Drive, or other Google account content. Verification and recovery links expire and can only be used once.

Cookies and limits

Essential cookies maintain your login, identify your browser for the three-checkup daily allowance, and protect Google sign-in. Sessions last up to seven days. A browser identifier lasts up to a year. We store keyed hashes of IP addresses and browser identifiers for the rolling 24-hour checkup limit, and short-lived records to limit account attempts. Dakeus does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.

Storage and service providers

Dakeus runs on a Hostinger server. Account emails, when enabled, are sent through Hostinger from support@dakeus.com. Opening Google sign-in loads Google's sign-in service and is also subject to Google's privacy practices. Saved reports and account records remain stored until removed. Expired scan-cache, quota, session, and account-link records are periodically cleared.

Your choices

You can run a public checkup without an account. For access to your account information, corrections, or account and saved-report deletion, contact support@dakeus.com. We may need to verify account ownership before fulfilling a request.
